Though the discussions and education on menstrual hygiene in Rajasthan were successful, we realized the machine was not being utilized to its full capacity. When our aunt, a principal at a low-income school in Malappuram, contacted us, it became an opportunity to put the machine to better use. In the summer of 2017, we visited Kerala to go sort out the details of the machine and its operation, as well as to inaugurate the initiative. We were able to sit down with the girls of the low income school and discuss their visions for this project, and how it will benefit the local community.
